Janus Electric Holdings Limited, an Australian pioneer in heavy vehicle electrification, has successfully raised A$4.5 million through a private placement.
This funding is set to accelerate the development and deployment of their innovative battery swap technology, aiming to facilitate the transition of Australia's freight and logistics sector to zero-emission vehicles.

The capital raise involved issuing 26,450,000 new fully paid ordinary shares at A$0.17 per share, representing a 17.1% discount to the company's last traded price. The placement attracted a diverse group of investors, including institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals from Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

Janus Electric offers a comprehensive electrification solution for heavy vehicles, encompassing patented battery swap platforms, truck conversion kits, charging infrastructure, and integrated fleet management software. This holistic approach provides a seamless transition for operators looking to adopt electric trucks without the downtime associated with traditional charging methods.

For Australian businesses, particularly small to medium enterprises and owner-operators, the adoption of electric trucks presents an opportunity to reduce operational costs and meet increasing environmental regulations. However, the initial investment and infrastructure requirements can be daunting. Janus Electric's battery swap technology addresses these challenges by offering a practical and efficient solution, potentially reducing the total cost of ownership and improving the feasibility of electric truck adoption.

As the transport industry faces rising fuel prices and stringent emission standards, the demand for viable electric vehicle solutions is growing. Janus Electric's recent funding success positions the company to play a pivotal role in supporting Australian businesses through this transition, offering innovative solutions that align with both economic and environmental objectives.
