Hosted at The Langham Gold Coast, ASMEX 2026 introduces a refined format featuring an afternoon speaker program, the Australian Marine Industry Awards Gala Dinner, and a full-day South-East Queensland industry tour to the Volvo Penta Headquarters and Training Facility.
The Tuesday afternoon sessions will focus on practical business insights, with speakers such as Kristina Agustin, Founder of Southern Sky AI, discussing the evolving role of artificial intelligence within the marine industry and how businesses can harness intelligent automation and emerging technologies. Marketing strategist Sarah Colgate will deliver a session on strengthening business visibility and engagement, while motivational speaker Mick Colliss will share insights on leadership, resilience, and performance. Additionally, Bank of Queensland Chief Economist Peter Munckton will provide an economic update relevant to the marine sector, and David Good, CEO of Superyacht Australia, will present the annual 2025 superyacht visitation data.
A highlight of ASMEX 2026 is the Australian Marine Industry Awards Gala Dinner on Tuesday evening, commencing with Mayor Tom Tate’s ASMEX Reception. This event recognises outstanding achievements, innovation, export success, and leadership shaping Australia’s marine industry, providing a valuable opportunity for the sector to celebrate excellence across the superyacht, marine export, and commercial marine sectors.
On Wednesday, 20 May, delegates will participate in a full-day South-East Queensland industry tour, visiting the Volvo Penta headquarters and training facility, offering a behind-the-scenes insight into one of the region’s key marine businesses.
Registration provides access to all ASMEX events at a bundled rate of $350+GST for members and $399+GST for non-members. This includes the speaker sessions, the Australian Marine Industry Awards Gala Dinner, and the South-East Queensland Facilities Tour.
